Actually, my work is located very close to the Broadstreet station. Sorry, I should have included that detail.

That's actually an important point because I think most longer distance NJ Transit buses that go to Newark go to the Penn Station area. Penn Station isn't only a railroad station, it is also Newark's major (local and intercity) bus station. Most likely, any bus services that go between somewhere in NW NJ and Newark would go to the Penn Station area and you'd probably still need to use the Newark Light Rail connector to get up to the Broad Street Station area.

Thank you, bozos who know nothing about Newark and suspect no one has any reason to go there. You do know Prudential's world HQ is here, yes?

I know NJT does not operate any service between the two. Do any of those other companies that serve your area serve Mt. Arlington Park and Ride? That might be a good plan, as there's service to Newark from there.

I think Chip is right. We use to take the train from Dover, or Denville NJ and then.......get off in Newark to go to the New Jersey Bell Telephone building.( walked there)
Once also to use Newarks huge library for a research project.
I don't like the area that you get off at.....but..........we tried to stay with the crowd. Also the library trip was during a blizzard, and no one was around.

The headquarters for Prudential, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and also........the Phone Company were all within a short distance of walking. There was a cute park also in the area. I didn't feel at all unsafe, but..........I wouldn't do it at night, without taking a cab over to the station.

Angry Looking for Transportation!

I can't believe that there is not a bus that goes to Penn Station in Newark. If not I would accept at least one that will take me to the train in Dover.

What's up with this?

I am moving to East Stroudsburg and will be commuting to Secaucus, NJ 3-days/week. Were you asking for carpool reasons or just out of curiosity?
