Bus from East Stroudsburg to Newark, NJ?
Is there a bus that goes from East Stroudsburg to Newark? I see there are plenty of buses that go into NYC, but I can't seem to find any info on one that goes to Newark. I'm hoping I just missed it.

I'm thinking nobody wants to go to Newark...at least not for any legitimate reasons.

I second that.............Mr. Krabs
Many coming to NEPA from Newark. I see people commuting to Newark on the Port Jervis line. I had to get off there (off the PATH once) and thought I was going to be mugged!

You deserve a straightforward answer, for sure. And Newark is still a viable city...evidently a city on the rebound, albeit slowly......even Phily's Carl Dranoff is scheduling in an upscale residential tower for downton.....
I looked around but couldn't find anything directly linking East'burg with Newark. The closest possibility would be NJTransit (they have a website with rotes for buses and trains and Newark is their hub), but the trains seem to go no further than Hackettstown (whichis 20-30 miles from East'burg. Ditto the buses. And service also goes from Port Jervis, miles to the north.
I would contact Martz Trailways to see if any of their PA buses stop in NJ at some point where you might connect to NJ Transit to get to Newark......e.g. board a Martz bus in Stroudsburg and disembark at Hackettstown where you would pick up a NJ Tranist train or bus.
Otherwise, contact the Stroudsburg Chamber of Commerce or similar outfit to see what they might suggest or be aware of....I suppose they have a website if you do a 'search'

Short Line Bus
Check out shortline and if they do not have a connection they might know a company that does.

There is at least this one company that does have shuttles to newark. I'm not sure what their website is but if you do a web search I'm sure you'll find it. Check it out.

Here's the link to the bus services that have lines going into and out of Newark Penn Station: Newark Ground Transportation Services (broken link)
Looking at the Pennsylvania section, there's no direct link, so I agree, you would need to find some way of connecting 2 different bus lines. Not sure how large of a company you work for - perhaps there's a car pool site that you could use to find out if there's anyone else on the same route that you could share a ride with? I believe there's a Pocono Commuter site that might have some resources for you, just google "Pocono Commuter". Good luck!

I commute one day a week out of Port Jervis and many folks take the PATH right to Newark. If you don't mind the commute to Port, you might consider this as a way in. Check out MTA Home Page
PATH - 800-234-PATH
Good luck

I think your best bet would be to drive to Dover, NJ and use either NJT Morris & Essex Line or NJT Montclair/Boonton Line; both are rail services. The M&E runs a lot more frequently than the Boonton Line. Both lines stop at Newark Broad Street Station, which is at the north end of downtown Newark. There is a light rail connector (i.e. the Newark Light Rail) between Broad Street Station and Newark Penn Station, the main train station in Newark. Penn Station is much closer to the downtown core and I suspect your job is located closer to Penn Station than to Broad Street Station.
