Looking for rental
Hi
I am looking for a one year rental or a rent to own in the Pocono Lake or Blakeslee area. I am going to buy a house but need to move now due to the land lady wanting the house back for her son. I thought I had more time to find a place but now I probably need to rent for a year while I look. If I found a house I loved and the owners agreed to rent to own I would be ecstatic!
Any suggestions? I have contacted many realtors but there is slim pickins out there.
I have a few pets and an adult son with me.
Thanks

Thanks!
I read the Record online every day and have been watching. I bought the paper today and will make a few calls tomorrow.
It just seems like every avenue is a dead end. NO ONE will accept pets. Most of the rentals near here are vaca homes.
I guess I am hoping that someone here knows someone who knows someone that has a rental. LOL
I have references and am willing to give an additional deposit for the pets.

You may want to try CraigsList as well. It's like a free online bulletin board to post anything and everything from real estate ads to political ads to...errrm..."services."

Thanks.
I check Craigs List every day and communicated with one or two but no one will accept pets.
I think I have exhausted the internet and my name and info is with every realtor.
If anyone else has any suggestions, please let me know!
Thanks again

That's a good idea. At least you know that anyone responding to your ad is already fine with pets!
BTW, what types of pets do you have? I have a dog but would love more animals around.

That is an excellent idea! I am going to make up flyers and put them all over the place! and might even put an ad in the local papers. Thank you!
I have all rescued pets. A good number of cats, most of which prefer the out doors unless it is really awful out, then they all sleep out the storm on my bed. Two older dogs, mixes, off the streets. and a rescued, silly clown of a cockatoo. My pets are very important to me and I refuse to make them homeless again. That is where the problem lies. I am devoted.
I have a letter from my land lady stating that I have always taken good care of her house (I always owned my own home- I know how to take good care) and paid my rent on time. My pets are not a problem and I know land lords are afraid they will mess and it won't be cleaned up but I keep a clean house.
Thanks for all the suggestions! Keep them coming!
