Not bad. I once caught a fish so big I dislocated both shoulders telling people about it.

Seriously they are nice bass, you have to go to RI or Mass to find fish like that. They are hard to come by in the waters around NJ.

Went fishing for red fish in the Gulf about 10 years ago, near the oil rigs off the coast of LA. Even the small ones were HUGE! Best tasting fish I ever had. Whatever marinade my cousin used was fantastic. I never would have thought to use an A-1 based sauce on fish, but it really was terrific.

There are these little kiosks set up at marinas and pots down here, usually oporated by Hatian or Jamican women. You bring your catch to them and right there in frount of you they will clean, cook to order and give you a beer. They work on tips alone. They have some serious technique's goin on.

If you ever get the chance, go after some Snook. You be a believer after the first bite, trust me. Also, a fun thing to do is to cast for Jack's, use them as bait, find a big bridge and fish the pileings for Grouper. They can get gigantic, catch a release fish but fun.

Tarpon is more a skilled fishermans catch. Those suckers come into my canal behind my house. You would think they where sharks if you dindt know any better.

Default Thank God someone with a brain

I'm glad to see there is someone out there who knows what the heck is or isn't going on. I agree with you totally. I wish I knew you I'd like to. I'm so tired of dumb ass people listening to everything they hear. The people are great here but I will say my only complaint is that the winters can be brutal.

Default Jobs in NEPA

I agree with what people are saying about jobs here. There aren't many and certainly not many good jobs. They are a little schizo here whereas you may be working today and gone tomorrow. But, I think the natives like that so they can keep reselling your homes. Governor Rendell should start investigating what the hell is going on in the Poconos that employers can get away with paying adult heads of households $6 or 7 bucks an hour and expect them to live on it. How do they get away with that? There's some racket going on there and he should get a grip on it.

Cool All about the $$$$

It's all about the $$$ - only if you work in New York and commute daily for the sake of your family.

Some areas are really 'old country' out here and are that way for a reason I'm sure, plus the jobs are crappy. I live in NEPA PLUS work in NYC and commute back and forth every day. We have enough to live comfortably and are grateful we do not have to go thru all the crap New York brings.

Some sacrifices just have to be made for the sake of quality of life, enjoying nature with your family, and not worrying about jobs in NEPA.

As long as you have $$ you can live anywhere, except New York. I would not change NEPA for anything in the world!
