I'm a little late to the thread - new poster here with a serious interest in photography - thought I'd share what I can.
There's a relatively new camera club in Stroudsburg, the Pocono Photo Club. They have a website at
http://www.poconophotoclub.com. Monthly meetings are Tuesdays at East Stroudsburg University. In addition to monthly meetings they've been planning events for shooting.
There's a Scranton-based club that I haven't been involved with yet.

There's also a great weekend workshop in the Poconos in October at the Pocono Environmental Center in Dingmans Ferry. I took the workshop in May and have already signed up for October. More info at
