Usually a high school or a Tech school has beginners and advanced classes. ( Night classes)
Maybe if you joined the advanced you'd enjoy that.......and from there a club can be born, or possibly there is one you'll learn about.
It happened that way in woodcarving for my husband ........from a night class to a club.
I loved the photo course I took, but that was in NJ at a high school night class.

Math, I am into photography as a hobby. Just want to sell the house, so I can spend more time with the camera. When I land west, that might be a great idea to get a group together.

Wouldn't that be fun........but I am not that close to all of your areas.
Right now I run around SC taking pictures of the candidates carved in the sand.......( they took down the democrats too fast, and during a rainy week)
I took a few of the Hard Rock Theme Park about to open soon.......alas, when the car was running, or through the construction fencing. LOL
I try to post them from here.......but the better desk top is at home. This laptop is old and timeconsuming.......in other words " the pits" LOL......
I have a good one of the Cherry Grove pier.......to go on CD.
So.........right now.......its SC pictures. Can't wait to get home and do some of Pa.
For now.....its the ocean......but I love oceans too

count us in, we are always out taking pictures and looking for places we dont know about. i had to buy two nikon d80's to keep the peace in our marriage. we were always fighting over the 1 camera and of course it never had the right lens on it at that moment.

There are a lot of us on this forum interested in photography. It might be neat to do a "group photo tour" sometime of a local community. Six of us could branch out into three pairs to canvas three different parts of a local town or city to photograph, and then later on we can e-mail one another our images, and we can combine them into one giant three-part photo tour. It certainly beats how I've been trying to hoof it alone around most local towns. Some tiny towns like Montrose were a breeze to do, but Scranton has proven to be QUITE a challenging feat because of all there is to photograph; I'm planning to do an updated (and much better) tour of downtown in the late-Spring to replace my rather bland one and to complement mathjak's really nice one if anyone is interested in joining me. We can hang out afterwards to grab a bite to eat at Brixx or Coney Island, scope out Steamtown, hit up Nay Aug Park, etc. too and make a day out of it.
