Default Ummm cheesesteaks!

Who has the best cheesesteaks this side of Philly. My pick: Philadelphia Subs, E. Northampton st., W-B. I take that back. They're BETTER then cheesesteaks in Philly!

You haven't tried mine LOL.

I think the key is the flake steak and it can be bought here but only through a major supplier like Sysco. I have cooked quite a few and even had some big wig French Chef visiting the Hotel try them. Funny, the cooks that saw him eat said it was disgusting watching him eat. They said he said they were really good but the cheese was kind of oozing out of his mouth as he talked and ate and was revolting haha.

I made two with different cheeses, the first with melted Cheddar and Cream and the second with American and he ate both...eww

I don't think anything in NEPA could truly be called a CHEESESTEAK. I've had some decent steak and cheese subs in NE PA, but they are nowhere near a true Philly cheesesteak. You can't even find a place in NE PA with wiz.

Take a drive down to Philly and go to Jim's on South Street. You'll see what I mean.

If you're going to go the frozen slats of steak route, at least use the Tri-Our brand. Not the easiest to find, but way better than the flavorless rectangles.

I've had Pat's, but haven't been to Geno's. Pat's is good, but I liked Jim's better. Also good is Rick's Steaks, which I believe is the place in the Reading Terminal Market that was in some dispute over its lease last year. Not sure how that turned out....anyways I had Rick's at a Phillies game...they're in Ashburn Alley in the outfield.
