The flood warnings are now all over NEPA. Luzerne County is now under a flood warning as well as the Susquehanna River is expected to overflow its banks and crest well above flood stage (AGAIN!!!) The expected crest of around 24.0' will flood mostly just lowlands such as Pittston's Riverfront Park (UGH!!!), agricultural lands in Wyoming, and other low-lying areas. The grand total from this storm is expected to be about 2.5" of rain with another storm coming on Friday. They DO say that March comes in like a lion, right? LOL! Be safe, everyone! I just drove home from work myself and a lot of roads have ponding water already!

The sump pump is working overtime this morning. I hear that roads are flooded all over NEPA. I hope there weren't any tornadoes down by you, Summering..

Summering ~ The thought of a tornado would scare the heck out of me. Stay safe. As for the Matamoras area, the river didn't look too terribly high this time...on my way home from work this evening.

I just spent 50 extra minutes, and nearly that many miles, moving around Western Sullivan Cty (I'm in NEPA) to avoid flooded roads, many closed, both ways.

I wish I had known the usual suspects before I left my house this morning.

Stay safe, drive carefully all.

You stay safe as well, ontheroad! I've been gone for a number of hours now because my parents and I have been trying to piece our basement back together after the ground surrounding our home finally couldn't take any more saturation and coated our entire basement with about two inches of water. Thankfully not much damage was done, but it's a BIG basement and took a while with a Shop-Vac, mops, buckets, and good old-fashioned determination to sop it all up! If nothing else it was a family bonding experience! LOL!

Yes, SWB, thanks and my cellar is wet too. I didn't realize we had so much rain and I didn't get as much as you and the family. I moved everything that was in or near water, and got on the road this morning. It seems to have subsided...I hope.

Hope it all dries out soon, but I have heard that weather-man say, "snow."
