I don't know Scranton all that well, but there's a very good Indian restaurant called Mayuri on Wyoming Ave. The employees must live somewhere in that area but I don't know if there's an ethnic cluster or where it might be. A quick search on the web also turns up a couple of Hindu temples in Scranton. Maybe a phone call to one of them would point you in the right direction.

I've know two Indian families that lived in the Scranton area but each has moved since. Both families lived in Summit Pointe in Scranton, if that helps any. I have no idea if that was a coincidence or if there are more Indian families living there than other places in the area.

There is a decent sized Indian population in the hill section of Scranton. Is this long term and do schools matter? Scranton schools aren't real good but there is diversity.

Sunil,

Basically Scranton is urban so there will be more diversity in those schools; however, the schools aren't regarded as highly. If school is most important then I recommend Abington Heights which is 10 minutes from Downtown Scranton. Abington is a decent sized area so you should come scope it out. There's Clarks summit, Clarks green, North and South Abington township. There are some Indian families in the schools here. Not a ton of rentals in Abington but you can find them.

To be honest I imagine there's some Indian families in each school district in Lackawanna County but from school ratings perspective I believe it goes Abington>N Pocono not sure after that
