More reasons why I love PA.........
I love Christmas in PA is just like a Dickens storybook.......
I love that I can actually get my cards stamped "Bethlehem"
Snow........in December
Swimming ..........in the lakes and coves in summer
Our sky high tall mountains
The beauty of the land masses
The fairs and festivals, the shows and entertainment
People.........down to earth people.......not all puffed up
Places to go and things to do
The way it hugs you when you arrive back home.........

i love the green lushness of it. the rolling hills (or mountains as we call them) and i love how we have 4 very distinct seasons.
i love that people still care about eachother and wave to you whether they know you or not!
i wouldnt want to live anywhere else.

So very true. When I first moved here I felt a bit awkward I want to say when the neighbors would do that because no one did that where I originally lived at before. I quickly became accustomed to it and love it as well. It made me feel at home & welcomed.
With that being said what else is there to say that hasn't already been said about living here in this wonderful state. What I love about PA is the mountains & the sense of tranquility far different from city life.

It is so hard to capture this state in words really.
How do you feel when your swimming in a cove, tall hemlocks and pine trees around...... Just you and your family, and nature.
The feeling when you drive through the Lehigh Tunnel. Its at the base of a mountain........you drive through that mountain.........just awesome.
Times when its turned dark and you look down the mountain at the town of Scranton. Twinkling lights, cars moving about.........breathtaking.
We have some towns, like Doylestown, that one would have to call " and Ideal town"
Our places to visit like Lancaster, and Hershey.......just can not be beat.
The state is really full of things to do, and places to go visit. I love going to our historic sites. Gettysburg for one.
Now, ............If we only had an ocean! But, its not all that far folks really.......not that far at all.

Ever since I was kid growing up in Brooklyn, NY and after reading stories of life in the country by people like Daniel Boone, Davie Crockett, Grizzly Adams, etc., (I know they may not be real people), I always hoped I would someday live in the country. Now here I am 48 years later and actually living my dream and loving every minute of it!! With the help of Uncle Sam I was able to purchase my home with a VA loan since I'm a veteran. Now I wake up every morning to the sound of birds singing and feeding themselves from the feeder I have outside, the sun shining, and Ol' Glory waving from my deck alongside the MIA/POW flag. Although I always hoped to someday accomplish this, being a city boy, I never thought the day would come when I would actually be able to enjoy it. I have a nice 1/2 acre corner lot on a dirt road, no busy-body neighbors, and beautiful stars at night to gaze at. Hardly a day goes by that I don't thank the good Lord for providing this ol' city boy with the option of fulfilling my childhood dream. Being someone who was once on the verge of homelessness and jobless just 2 years ago to homeowner makes you grateful for what you have and what God provides you. I'm proof-positive that God may choke you sometimes but he doesn't strangle you all the way. It's up to you to see you way through it and make it through his tests. God bless the world, the U.S.A., our troops wherever they may be, and all who read this post. Have a great weekend everyone!!
