I think the national attention of the portrait of WB being ONLY a depressed old coal mining city is probably what got under his skin. We the typical Americans now only appear to have a collective attention span of about 5 seconds ( 1/2 kidding); so it seemed the Mayor inferred ( rightfully so IMHO) that is all the people got for the mention of his city. Also ,did they HAVE to show the crummy looking pictures? From what I saw that was all they aired...or maybe I just have the above mentioned 5 second attention span!

What I don't understand is why they showed photos of the demolition of the old Hotel Sterling annex. The adjacent portion of the long-neglected hotel is being converted into dozens of upscale condos being marketed towards hip young professionals. Isn't that a GOOD thing for the city?

I beleive it probally is, but the media loves show "the underbelly" of things, I guess they think that is all people want to see; you know dirty laundry and nonsense like that.
