This is a question for any business owners. I heard that certain places like Walmart, Mcdonalds, etc. do not have to pay school taxes due to the fact that they hire students. Does anyone know anything about this. My family owns a mom&pop business and they have to pay over $7000 in school taxes!

I should hope that's nothing more than a mere rumor. Here in the Pittston Area School District we have McDonald's, Wal-Mart, Wendy's, Arby's, Burger King, Perkins, KMart, and just about every other cheesy chain you could imagine, yet I'm almost 100% that they ALL pay property taxes, including to the Pittston Area School District, even though they obviously thrive on students to fill their payrolls.
