Default Veterinary Care in Jim Thorpe Area

I am still considering locating to the Jim Thorpe area, but am concerned about veterinary care. I know there are veterinarians in Lehighton, but emergency vet care seems to be at least an hour away. Does anyone have any further info?
Also, any feedback on the "people" medical in the area?
Thank you!!

I don't think that there's anything closer than Wilkes-Barre for emergency care. I was at my mom's house in Nesq last year and my dog was bitten by a bee. She had a terrible reaction, and if it wasn't for us having "human" medication and we gave her some of that, who knows what would have happened
**i don't ever recommend doing this, but under emergent circumstances, I believe it saved her life**)

I don't know about further south in Allentown but, really, that's still 30 minutes away.

You might try the Lehigh Valley sub-forum and post your question there. If you're looking for regular vet care, I can ask my sister who they go to for you. Just PM me and I'd be happy to get that info for you.
