LOL...funny.
Every time I've ridden Twister...as it comes back to station I feel like I've had my fingers stuck in a socket for 2 minutes.....heh. Hair on fire! Deer in the headlight eyeballs.....!

Sno Mountain is putting together a nice water park. What a great place that will be to go for area people too.

Loved Angela Park! Went there quite a bit with friends when it was open and thriving!
Knoebels is wonderful! Especially now with things being so expensive, you can really get your money's worth there. The campgrounds are great, but fill up very quickly. The pool is nice, but oftentimes crowded. They have two water slides there now, and a cute kiddie section. The food is always good, but during peak times you'll be waiting a bit for it. Many people pack their own food and eat at the picnic tables right outside the park area. You can grill there too, which is nice.
Can't wait until the "Flying Turns" ride is up and running (I thought I'd heard by July!) - looks like so much fun!!

Ummm...does the no response mean no one has heard of this place? We are planning our summer vacation camping trip and curious before I book. We were thinking of Knobels but since the "clan" is going on a day trip, I want our vacation to be somewhere else.

When I lived in the Harrisburg area I drove by Twin Grove Park a couple times (it is on PA 443 west of I-81). It is a very small park; no adult/bigger kid roller coasters.
I remember Magic Valley north of Stroudsburg; that park was only open for a few years in the late 1970's/early 1980's. I think I rode their big (adult) roller coaster seven times in one day when I was 5 or 6 years old. (I was always tall as a kid.)
I concur with the positive comments about Knoebels; very good park. I did get to Rocky Glen/Ghost at the Glen Park once when I was 4 or 5 years old; I vaguely remember that visit. Finally, I rode on PA 309 past Angela Park a few times in the 1980's but never went there. I remember they used to have commercials fairly often for that park on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre TV stations in the mid and late 1980's.

Rocky Glenn Park
I just learn that Rocky Glenn Park will be receiving a Pennsylvania State Historical marker on August 9,2008. The unveiling of the marker will be at 2p.m. at the site of the old park. Then at 6:30p.m. there is a reception ($10.00 fee) at the Trolley Museum in Scranton to open a new exhibit on the Park which will feature the original bronze plaque from the park's Swiss Cottage. The receiption will feature martini's named after Rocky Glenn rides.

If our politics would get their head out of their ass and look around..Nepa would be back on top with a great amusement park. I can't begin to tell you how many developers came to our area took a look at land such as Rocky Glenn and who stepped in? The Deplorable politic himself Mr. Mellow. I find this to be laughable. This man brags about bringing a medical college to Scranton,Yet, He wont allow a developer to make strides to rebuild on a former parks grounds. Before Anyone Responds, It should be noted that Ms. Jane Sterling STILL owns the land. Its the crooked @#%^s in moosic and Harrisburgh that had to come and crush our dreams. 2 Developers came to the area to look at the former park. Mr. Politic Mellow had to use his left nut he calls a brain and squash it. So much for your re-election bid huh Mr. Mellow? Yes, We can thank Mr. Mellow for ending development on rocky glenn park land. But, We can also in return, end his bid for re-election before it even starts. Pay-backs a ***** isn't it Mr. Mellow?
