Default Teaching Opportunities

I know there are some folks as of late who have been inquiring about positions in the educational field in NEPA, so I have decided to post a few opportunities that I have encountered through my college's search engine.

Secondary Math Teacher, Canton Area School District, Canton
Substitute Chemistry Teacher, Abington Heights School District, Clarks Summit
Various Positions, Southern Tioga School District, Blossburg

I don't know about Canton or Clarks Summit, but in Luzerne County (expecially in the Wilkes-Barre area) It's known far and wide that you cannot get hired unless you know somebody, or are related to somebody in the school system. It's blatant nepotism! You have to be a sister in law to the superintendent ect. to even be considered, and the school board always claims "it's because they were the most qualified" Yah, B.S.!!! This is just one more shining example why young education grads have to leave the area to find employment after they graduate.

Chad2002 is on a distinguished road
Many districts are doing their hiring at this point in the year. In addition to Canton & Southern Tioga, I know that Towanda and Athens have been doing some hiring, primarily at the secondary level.

Most of the districts in our area advertise their openings in the Elmira Star-Gazette, Towanda Daily Review or Sayre Evening-Times. All of which are available online.

W-B Proud, I am right with you on this one. You describe the Delaware Valley School District to a "T".
