My daughter is complaining on how there are no events in Northeast, PA. Please if anyone can let me know if there are any fun festivals or events coming up in the month of June or even July?

The PA lavender festival is nice if you like herbs. I was there 2 years ago.
It's not NEPA though. It's down around Gettysburg.

I do recomend it if you are into plants & herbs & stuff made from them. It's not terribly big, but nice.

How could you all forget the world famous:

Throop Cow Flop

From the Scranton Times:
Throop

For the first time in its 19-year history, the Throop Booster Club “Cow Flop” will span two days.

Beginning Saturday at 6 p.m. with food, games, rides and live music at the Washington Street Complex, the event will continue the next day at 1 p.m. with a parade.

The actual “flop” Sunday is at 7 p.m. A $10 ticket secures one of 2,000 two-foot by two-foot parcels of land in the park. When the cow is allowed to roam the field, the spot she “deposits” her prize means $5,000 for the owner of the parcel. The event will finish with a fireworks display, sponsored by Throop borough.

The event was expanded to increase ticket sales for the flop and the productivity of the event, organizer and councilman John Musewicz said. “It’s such a large event.”

All the proceeds go to Throop Little League.
