I was thinking it would be a great, several-day adventure to float down the Susquehanna from Sayer to either Tunkhannock or Falls. Of course, I still need to do the homework to figure out how long of a trip it would be, camping areas along the shores, etc.

Anyone have any experience with a float trip like that and have any tips?

There are a few outfitters who specialize in Susq. River canoe trips. I have never been on one. The Susq. River in the area that you mentioned is very calm with excellent scenery and it's a shame that more people don't go floating there.

Thanks, Wells5, for the reply.
I remember when I was growing up here that the Scouts had annual float trips down the river. I was hoping one would see this and comment.

My kids were in Scouts, by being located where we are, casual trips were always on the Delaware. The only tip I have is: wear sunscreen.
