Default Meshoppen/Tunkhannock, PA

My son is moving to the area in June for a job. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced extended stay motel/hotel that he could stay at until he finds an apartment/house to rent? Thanks!

Tunkhannock area: I grew up in this area. I spent lots of fun times at Potts Falls as a kid and it,s those memories that is making me move back home from Florida. I don,t give a rats ass what other people think. I have been from Anchorage to Naples Florida and there aint no place on earth like Pa. The people are real and the down home ambiance (I even learned big words in my travels) is what living life to it,s fullest is all about. If anybody has a legitimate ***** about this part of the country, oh well! It ain,t for everyone. But those of us who have braved the winters and enjoyed the summers, there isn,t any place better on earth to raise your kids. I have nothing bad to say about NEPA and if anybody feels differently, then stay where you,re at. We that have grow up here have been blessed with an awesome life full of memories. I reckon i,ve said all that was on my mind. Take it or leave it.

Default I love Tunkhannock too!~

Ditto to what bee said!!!

Ok, there's the Skyline motel on Rt. 6 just west of the town of Tunkhannock.
It looks ok and affordable. There also is a little hotel in town on Tioga St.
called the Prince Hotel I think.. I am not sure of any other ones close by.
We just moved here three months ago and I can tell you that it is one great place to live.

The one in town is indeed called the Prince Hotel. Shadowbrook is a hotel/resort just outside of Tunkhannock. There's another motel like Skyline just outside of Meshoppen but the name eludes me.

Check out www.tunk.com

They have a business directory and links to Meshoppen places too. If you are thinking about buying a home out here, check my profile and contact me.
