We were on the Lake yesterday and one distinction we noticed is that the parking lots were not full - not normally for a hot sultry Saturday at Lake Wallenpaupack. We noticed not many renters as last summer. Anyone else notice a change?

this will be a tough year for every where. i imagine though it might not be as bad as we may think. people from nyc may just choose not to go 4-5 hrs away to mass and vermont and may choose something closer to home.

i know we are going to go everyother week thru the summer and make 4 day weekends instead of my usual every week and 2 day weekend at the house

Lots of boats on Lake Winola but, just sitting in the middle. Not much racing around or waterskiing.

Math, I hear you about the cost of traveling back and forth. Nkotb, yes there many more boats anchoring more than usual - last year you could not even get a parking spot at the Marinas and now you can just pull right in - even at 3pm - peak time.

Our boat hasn't left the driveway. It would cosy me over $120 for fuel for the boat and a full tank on the pickup to pull the boat will cost me over $193.00. Over $300 just for the fuel for a weekend on the water, I don't think that our boat is going very far this year.

Keep in mind that many schools have not even let out for the summer yet. I just spoke to some kids from NJ and they don't even finish until June 20th and the two local school districts finish this week.

I know about the schools still in session, but I found it odd on a weekend that things are slow. Maybe once school lets out things will get busier. I enjoy boating during the week when it is quite a bit quieter and the not as much traffic.
