Pike County is still generally a rural, tranquil, friendly place to live. My partner lives in Lehman Township (Bushkill), and folks in Pike County seem to think that this community is the "city influence creeping in." If THAT is "the city," then I don't want to see what folks in Pike County think is rural!
LOL! Once I get off I-84 at Exit 30 (Blooming Grove) and head south on Route 402, I only hit one traffic light for the next fifteen miles before I arrive at his home, and even then that one is only for the high school. If you want to live near any conveniences you'll have to check into the Milford/Matamoras areas, and their surrounding townships of Milford Township and Westfall Township. |

Pike County is very nice. There are plenty of nice communities. Tink Wig is a nice community with many new homes being built. It is in Lakawaxen, which is in Pike County.
You can either drive to Dickson City to the mall and the major retail stores and restaurants or head towards Milford where there too are places to shop. The home prices are moderate also there. You will find alot of older homes for sale that need work. Many of the homes were built in the 70's. If you want a newer home, there are plenty of them too, you will just be paying a higher price for them. |
