Default Fireworks on the Lake

Can anyone from past experience tell us what to expect on the lake for the Fourth of July fireworks..........We hope to see the display from our boat (which is on the dock). I have heard that it is tough to get on the lake because of the traffic and do not want to take any chances. Is there any advice regarding the bugs.........as you can see I am skiddish of bugs especially at night when I can't see them.

Thanks much.

It's been a few years since I watched from a boat, but I would be very careful when the fireworks end. Everyone seems to make a mad dash back home and the lake get extremely rough (as in we could barely hold onto the boat at the dock to get out). I don't think bugs would be a problem at all, as it's usually breezy out on the water.

And memories, the date is the 4th, with the 5th as a raindate.

Greentown,

Good point! One boat passes and it is tough. I never thought of the problem on the docks. The little one may still be too small - we keep a life vest on her even though we are not required to. Thanks for responding.

We've seen all the traffic around Lake Wallenpaupack from year to year so last year we decided to go Lake Ariel. I have to say it was great! We'll definitely be going there again this year it was really fun and well done!
