Default Modulars

Hi Roxxy,

Although it's going to be a couple of years away, we've been looking at modulars over the past year or so. We also went to Pleasant Valley's location to look at their models and loved them! We actually have narrowed our choices down to 2-3 models. I'd love to hear more about your experience once everything is complete. Would love to know if you are satisfied with the overall quality.

We also looked at a sample from Avis America since one of their dealers is in the Wallenpaupack area. Quality seemed good from what we saw, but I'm hooked on the kitchens and baths that PV has to offer. Please keep us posted as your home progresses and best of luck when you take ownership.

I went to Fine Line Homes and felt as though the salesperson wasn't really taking any interest in us. We were serious about buying and didn't feel as though our business was being taken serious. Of course that was in 2006 when the economy was really good so maybe they felt as though our money wasn't needed.

Thanks Bagldot for the welcome.
So far we had a great experience with D&D. I picked the Bridgeport, mainly I fell in love with the kitchen. My house will be done this weekend and I am going to see it complete the first time on Saturday. I will let you know how it turned out.

What I like about the builders they seem to take pride in their homes. They give you a nice covered front porch with wide steps (some give narrow steps). They also encourage you to take a basement which adds value to your home. What I was very happy about we got to change the home from the manufacturer and they didnt charge us. You can also make a home as big or as small as you want. The only thing I can say is take your time and think about each room. Make sure its big enough because after its built its too late to change it.

I will let you know how it is next week. D & D development is located in Remax best realty in Lake Ariel. Her name is Debbie. Tell her Roxanne recommended them.

Good luck,
roxy

How exciting for you!!! I'll bet you can't wait

We had met with a different builder for PV that we liked, but we also stopped in to D&D one Saturday a few months back. No one was there that could help us, so someone from the realty company showed us the model on the lot and he really didn't know much. We figured that we'd come back later when we're closer to the time we need to build.

Good luck - I'm excited for you.

I am going to try and take pics this weekend. And if I can figure it out I will post a couple.

As far as D&D, I spoke to Debbie today and she said I can give you her number Bagdlot so send me a direct message and I will give you her home and cell number. She works out of remax but I think if you call her and go to see her in person you will get more information.

Best wishes, roxy

Default our move

To all interested on our progress:

We moved in last Sunday so we have been here 1 week. Our home is beautiful. The builders did a great job. I dont know how to post a picture but my home is even nicer than I thought it would be. I love the Hideout. Its clean and beautiful!!! We really have only been to the clubhouse but we will eventually go to other amenities.

We made a great choice to move into an amenty filled area. We are from NYC and having certain things nearby is great. I laugh though because people kept saying to us "you have to drive everywhere and everything is far". Well thats sometimes true but traffic in Brooklyn was always horrible and to get 3-4 miles can sometimes take 30-40 minutes. I rather drive 30 miles with no traffic, lol.

I am now going to start looking for a job. I am an x-ray tech if anyone heres about a job opening.

If anyone has any questions please ask.

roxy

Thanks Dorothy. The house took after it was delivered about 4 weeks. That was to add on a florida room, deck and front porch. They also did the floors and rugs and other odds and ends. When we ordered the home it took about 8 weeks. So all in all it took about 3 months.
