I had 3 feral cats come into my garage - I was able to tame two, you can do this is you get to them within 6 months after that it is almost impossible -- when I moved here from far away I trapped it and took it here with me - it now lives in our shed- it was either that or it get killed outside - I trapped it when it was young with the help of a feral rescue group and we had it fixed and gave it shots - 4 years down the road he seems happy but you could not go near it. It is a hard decision sometimes I want to put a cat door on the shed but I have fed and cared for so many strays that I have found later dead on the road - I do not want that to happen to this one. Do people not realize when the take a cat it is a 20 year commitment cut in half if you let them out.

Hi, Well I am in a predicament as well. I caught 5 out of 7 feral cats and spayed them/neuter them and I have to release them tomorrow, but I leave in a neighborhood where my neighbors are not in tune with the "feeding the ferral cats philosophy" so i on't know what to do now. I want to feed them yet I don't have a way to do it without my neighbors finding out. So the question is, what is going to happen to this cats if I stop feeding them. Would they actually make it even though they will struggle. I am in Jacksonville so the winter is not as brutal but still. Please help me finding the right answer. Thank you!
