Could be, but this looks a LOT more civilized . These pictures do give an idea of a similar 'modernized' vehicle.

The ride I recall was basically an army khaki colored military vehicle speeding through the amusement park very near patrons then splashing into the lake. This ride's seating was much more spartan and there was no sun screen of course. This is more likely what it was like: W.W.II DUKW Restoration

Yeah, that looks pretty raw. I like this one. It looks like they put the top of a school bus on a DUKW.

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but you can get a DVD copy of the
recent documentary that was done at the Lackawanna Historical Society,
at the top of Linden St. in Scranton. The cost is $26.
