Question Ford Escape other low milage car

We are looking into buying a low mpg used car Any suggestions? I currently have a 1995 chevy tahoe with 350000 miles gets like 12miles per gallon. So anything has to be better. What you do you all think.

We are going to go tommorrow to look at a ford escape 2001 anybody have one of these?

Thanks

I'd avoid a used Ford. If you're looking for a dependable used car with good gas mileage, look for a Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, or Nissan Sentra.

My sister has a Ford Escape 02, bought used locally, and loves it. It hasn't had any problems other than the normal stuff that needs replacing. Good luck with your new car.

i love my Escape 02, i had started using my other car for awhile to see if it used less gas, but no difference, so I'll stick with my Escape.

Let me know what area you are in, my niece just bought one a 2002 or so, it was not new, she is in pgh.

Can you do a search on line for one? I thought you could do that somehow, try the ford motor site, some of the dealers in PA have their own sites.

hope that helps some

I drive a used 1999 Ford Contour, and I've had very few problems since I purchased it back in mid-2003. I have put 60,000 miles on it. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, even though it is a "grandma-mobile."
