I think Boulder Field is amazing. It is cool to see a photo of the real one!
I have been driving past this monument for 15 years now, always curious about what it was, so today I was resolved to get the photo. This is located in Gilbert, Pa. & what I am learning from my research that it was the sight of a massacre.
The monument is across the road from the white house on a small feeder road off of Route 209

Human Interest
Here's the Boulder Field with some "human interest" to give an idea of
the immensity of the space.
Note the little guy with Dad in the background. I waited for a long
time until they were far away for the best effect!

At the Robert "Pete" Wisount Veterans' Memorial Park in Tremont

Old Tremont Depot

Old Tremont market and Skating Rink. It is now a factory.

Old railroad bridge support around Tremont

Old Lebanon & Tremont Railroad bed near Tremont.

The Corner Bar in Tremont. The building has been used as a bar for over a century.

Independent Miners and Associates heaquarters in Tremont. There is also a mine rescue team there.

St. Peters United Church of Christ in Tremont

Tremont's American Legion.
