Default Flora & fauna around Bear Lake/Bear Creek

Great shots, guys.

I was out last year visiting, and will be returning in a week or so. I'm going to be near the Falls Trail at Rickett's Glen and plan to see it thanks to the pics here. I got some great help from locals about places to take my toddlers, so I thought I'd repay the kindness I've received from NEPA posters by posting some of my photos from the last trip. They're mostly taken around Bear Lake (outside of Wilkes-Barre) and the area. Since I'm not from the area, I'm not up on all the beautiful flora and fauna, so maybe some locals can help me properly identify them:

Default Landscapes around Bear Lake/Bear Creek, PA

Ok, posted the critters. Now for some landscapes. I was captivated by the beauty of NEPA. I had my camera ready at all times because I'd be walking along, glance over, and have my breath taken away by some of the gorgeous views I saw there. Looking forward to bringing back my girls again and again. If they don't catch the camping/outdoors bug there, I guess they're just not meant to be campers!

Bear Creek (There was a great little breakfast spot just down creek from here.):

Don't those Adirondack chairs look inviting?:

Here comes the color!:

Sunset at Bear Lake. This photo brings back the whole vacation for me:

Thanks again for the kindness I've received on the NEPA side.

Amazing! I've always been surprised that major development (except for Laurel Brook Estates) never found the Bear Creek area. You can have such GORGEOUS serenity just 15 minutes from the city. Beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing!

What's probably saved Bear Creek from being overdeveloped is that its part of the Wilkes-Barre Area School District.
