I hate hate hate ticks. We bought a product called "ticked-off"
TICKED OFF™ the world's simplest tick remover
it is the absolute best product for removing embedded ticks from animals and from people.
I promise, it's the best $10 bucks I ever spent for my pets. Flea & tick collars and sprays are an ok deterant, but when you have a tick that is attached..this is what you need.

Thanks for the tip, I'm already afraid to return to those woods though...shame as I like it up there.
I'll check out the product cause they need protection either way.

I'm hoping to be up in NEPA for Christmas! I intend on taking lots of pictures to share with my friends and co-workers here in S.C. so they can see how beautiful it is back home!! I'll share them once I do.

That is nice...I was just in Chapin for Thanksgiving for a family visit...it was nice but def not NEPA. What part of Columbia are you from? I went to the vista for the first time. They fixed that part of town up very nicely.

I'm from the northeast part of Columbia. I'm familiar with Chapin, I have co-workers that live there. I miss PA during the holidays but love the warm weather here in SC otherwise. The vista is nice, however I don't frequent downtown too much. I tend to stick to the Northeast side. Have you had the chance to visit the Village at Sandhills?
