The first two are from the top of Penobscot Mountain

This is a view of the North Wilkes Area as you can see the top of the Luzerne County courthouse to the left.

This is looking south towards Bloomsburg

The next four were taken at Nescopeck State Park along Lake Frances.

These last two of the Red Ash Mine that still burns in Laurel Run

Default Natural Splendor

I managed to snap a close-up of this gorgeous fellow while strolling the Mayberry-like streets of West Pittston during their annual Historic Home Tour.

Could you believe that this lush environment encapsulating a cascading waterfall at Nay Aug Park lies within walking distance of the hustle and bustle of Downtown Scranton? That's probably one of the best reasons to love living in NEPA. You can be at Starbucks reading the New York Times while listening to XM Radio reviews of the latest Broadway play one minute while hitting the ski slopes or blazing a trail through pristine woodlands just moments later.

Kemmerer Park, located in the shadows of the Packer mansions in historic Jim Thorpe, "The Switzerland of NEPA."

The verdant farmlands of Damascus Township in Northern Wayne County.

The prestigious riverfront neighborhood along Susquehanna Avenue in West Pittston, NEPA's "Garden Village."

So many reasons to love Northeast Pennsylvania!

Mini Boulder Field, Hickory Run Forest ~ The result of a glacier resting there in the last ice age. (In the Jim Thorpe region)

The actual Boulder Field is in Hickory Run State Park & is much larger Hickory Run Boulder Field Pennsylvania Geology

This field of boulders was a few lots away from one of our building sites. It's amazing that just a few lots away there are very few..but when a glacier stops, it stops!

Here are a few more that were taken mostly last year of nature areas. I did take some photos of Wilkes Barre in the spring which maybe I will repost here.

This first bunch is of Ricketts Glen
