Wow- that has to be some kind of a record. I mean, heck - just blaze right through Halloween and Thanksgiving and go for the gold!
The commercialization of Christmas is disgusting...

LOL - which surprises me, because Halloween is becoming almost as big as Christmas.
...and, just like Christmas, more oriented to adults.

i think Michael's has their stuff out too. It really ruins the holiday season for me when I'm seeing this crap every time i walk into a store for the next 5 months.

It seems every year Christmas comes earlier and earlier. I can see decorating for Christmas in mid-to late October in the stores, but not late August, way too early. Like SifuPhil said, what happened to Halloween and Thanksgiving? They're not happening this year.

It seemss to be out of control. All of the Halloween seasons keep starting earlier and earlier. Could it be that the retailers are trying to get people in early because of the economy? I do not know, but it certainly takes the excitement right out of everything.

Just a thought but it might be because of the bankruptcy and they don't have enough merchandise to stock the shelves. Those Christmas items take up a lot of space and are cheap, they probably have a lot in stock from last year I'd imagine.
Having said that yes it does seem to be coming earlier every year. The turkey isn't even cold in the fridge yet and people have their Christmas lights on. I'm pretty sure I saw a few houses lit up before Thanksgiving last year.

I do think Boscov's is because of the bankruptcy.........trying to unload.
But.......Oh Dear...........I am guilty as can be about Christmas Shopping.
I just bought three "carving" skateboards........because they were the ones I wanted for the kids. They were on sale for less then previously online, and they were not even online anylonger. So yes, I did buy for Christmas .............even I can not believe it. Guilty as ******** I am, by golly
