Hi, Debbie. My name is Jim Litteral. I lived in Upland from 1946 to 1959. I lived at 506 Lane F and then a "double" house at 513 Midway Road. Lots of great memories. On Midway road, I lived right below the Old Mansion which is now the fire house. I have pictures in my back yard with it in background and also Main St. school in background. PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!

HEY UPLAND PEOPLE, MY NAME IS RON AND I LIVED HERE IN UPLAND ALMOST ALL MY LIFE SINCE 1960. I KNEW A LOT OF NAMES OF FAMILIES IN THE 60s AND 70s.ALMOST THE WHOLE TOWN, I HAD A GREAT CHILDHOOD HERE EVERYDAY US KIDS DID THINGS AND PLAYED SPORTS OR DID SOMETHING, NOT LIKE TODAY,THE KIDS ARENT DOING MUCH AND I CANT FIGURE OUT WHY.ITS REALLY SAD. WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I WOULD GO OUT AROUND 7 OR 8 AM AND FIND IT DIFFICULT TO GO HOME BY 5 TO EAT DINNER. WE WOULD PLAY AT THE CREEK OR IN THE CAMP UPLAND FIELD OR SCHOOLYARD OR GO CUT GRASS OR SOMETHING TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS,BUT HERE TODAY I HAVENT HAD ANYONE KNOCK ON MY DOOR TO CUT THE GRASS IN 25 OR 30 YEARS.I DONT SEE THE KIDS PLAYING BALL OR HOKEY OR SWIMMING AT THE CREEK LIKE I DID EVERYDAY,ITS LIKE IT DIED. ANYWAY I NOW LIVE ON FOURTH STREET AND WAS WONDERING WHO MAY HAVE LIVED HERE WAY BACK IN THE 20s OR 30s OR ANYTIME PRIOR TO THE 70s WHEN I MOVED TO THIS STREET.JUST TRYING TO GET SOME LOCAL HISTORY.

Playing on the old mansion porch...always thinking it was haunted. Collecting soda bottles for a penny and buying penny candy at Loffmen's...I hope I have the name correct. We moved from Upland around 1959-60. Egg hunt at the Legion. My grandparents lived on fourth St. The Murphy's Sarah Murphy was a Avon lady for many years. Does any one have picture to share? I would love to see. Please let me know. I loved reading about some of your memories and love to hear more.

My name is Fayette my maiden name was Bozman. we lived on the lane right behind the store that sat on the big hill with the steep steps you had to climb to enter the store. Was that lane F Or K ? Do you know? We moved from there about 1959 - 60. There were six of us kids. The Scott family were our closet friends. My Grandmother Sarah Murphy was an Avon Lady for years. We all have great fun times growning up in the UPland project.

This old man Peck Bozman was my Dad..oh yes! there were a lot of drinking going on around there, I hate that memory of all that drinking, he was a good kind man and would of done anything for any one. He passed away Jan 1996. "Dearly Missed" Haines Albright was Dad's friend a funny old sole he was the only friend of Dad's that you could trust. Another friend of my Dad's was Corny Allen and Bill Westbrook. Haines was Cory's son in law his wife was Karen. My older brother Peckie played ball and was a member of the Firehouse when it was on the old site. He lived in Upland until 1972, then moved up state Pa. His friend were Butch McClinick,& Nat Stintson. My brother died 1985. My grand parents the Murphy's lived down on the same side close to Jimmy Gallens not sure of the house #. Does Rosie Scott live in Upland still? I know her Mom Honey, Nancy & Bubbles lived in Eddystone. Is that old white house still standing across from the church? "Mary Conley" owned it when we were young. Your right on! It's not like the good old days..when we were kids we knew how to play out door...heck we weren't aloud to play inside. Good to hear from you and old news.

Hi, Fayette. I knew the Bozmans. I went to school with your sister, Nancy. I lived on Midway Road right below the mansion. The store ws Loflands. She was a great friend of mine. I moved out of Upland in 1959. I will never forget that GREAT place!!!!!!!!
Hope we can communicate. In time I can send pictures. I got pictures of the mansion and all. One thing I'll always remember is the July 4th celebrations at the ball park.
Write soon. Jim
