Default Asking For Prayers....

I know this doesn't really have anything directly dealing with NEPA, but I thought it would be a good thing to ask folks to say a prayer or put out some positive thoughts for ex-NEPAers & ALL the folks on the Gulf Coast in the path of Hurricane Gustav... This is gonna be a major one!!!

I know firsthand what it's like to go through these major storms & deal with the aftermath!!! My house is built like a brick....you.....know.....what house, & with 135mph winds outside hammering against it for hours, it's scary!!

I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer & positive thought, so I thought it would be a good thing for all of us enjoying our holiday weekend to take a moment to keep these folks in our thoughts & prayers.....

Lots of Prayers for the folks in the path of Gustav..........
I know after Katrina most will have the wherewithal to know to boot it out of there.
I think I would of packed up my pets, and my photos and important papers about yesterday, and headed inland to the pet friendly hotels.
Howard Johnsons, Red Roof, some Days Inns, some Quality Inns..........accept pets.
It just is not wise with a Cat.4 to stay in your home, no matter what your possessions are.
Bless you all........and please be on your way.

Prayer for Safety in Hurricane Season

O God, Master of this passing world,
hear the humble voices of your children.
The Sea of Galilee obeyed Your order
and returned to its former quietude.
You are still the Master of land and sea.
We live in the shadow of a danger over which we have no control:
the Gulf, like a provoked and angry giant,
can awake from its seeming lethargy,
overstep its conventional boundaries,
invade our land,
and spread chaos and disaster.

During this hurricane season we turn to You, O loving Father.
Spare us from past tragedies whose memories are still so vivid
and whose wounds seem to refuse to heal with passing of time.

O Virgin, Star of the Sea, Our beloved Mother,
we ask you to plead with your Son in our behalf,
so that spared from the calamities common to this area
and animated with a true spirit of gratitude,
we will walk in the footsteps of your Divine Son
to reach the heavenly Jerusalem
where a stormless eternity awaits us.
Amen.

and have been doing so. I'm still praying for those victims of Katrina that still can't get the help they need. I can't imagine having to go through this again.
Lookin'

I think the prayers worked a great deal. We are very fortunate in many areas of the Gulf Coast. I'm so happy it was a better exit then before. People listened to the warnings and left, pups coming along too. Great job......from everyone. So it seems so far anyway.
