I was refering to the two stabbings that happened in that neigborhood during daylight hours. What is silly is when the director of public safety and police chief state that crime is only committed during the night time hours.

But you have to admit, Doherty has done nothing positive for this city. He cuts public safety, racks up huge amounts of debt from constant borrowing. He acts like an arrogant, smug elitist who looks down on the working class of Scranton. He touts the downtown and says it's on the rise, funny I see a lot of empty storefronts. He says how wonderful Nay Aug is. I don't see it. Looks like just a park to me, nothing special there. This city would be much better off without Chris Doherty at the helm. It's time for a change in Scranton, if not, it will get worse and worse in the Electric City.

I know that things could be much better here ...

I guess Nay Aug can be beautiful to one person and then for others ... well ... they won't see it in quite the same light as we all have different tastes ...

Some see positive things happening ... and you don't ...

You say that the Mayor looks down on the working class of Scranton ... well I am of the working class and have been in the company of the Mayor and have never been made to feel that I am less of a person by him ... but maybe you have had a different experience. Dan certainly has had a different experience.

I think that we have gotten totally off topic here ... Dan told me if I want respect that I should go to the City ... to sum it up ... I think what he means is that I will not be getting his respect ... and that's ok ... I still will give him respect ... just because.

I think that you make valid points Ed ... but remember that not everyone has the same experience in this life ... I treat people the way I would want to be treated ... I don't always agree with everything the Mayor does ... Hell I think the SPD and SFD deserve fair contracts ... they need a raise ... and I want them to have it ... I just don't see Doherty as the root of all evil that a lot of others seem to want to make him out to be. But if that's how you see him ... who am I to tell you how to feel?

I respect your opinion and the right to say it, I guess we just see things differently when it comes to Doherty. I don't like the man professionally, I don't know him personally.

I have been in the company of the mayor on more then one occassion and he was always respectful to me as well, even when he allowed our neighborhood to flood..

THATS WHAT POLITICIANS DO!!!!

Lets be honest here, your relationship with the mayor is alot different then ours is and you know it. It didn't seem to bother your father or you when you used the dpw to clear your land for your new house for free did it?

Is that service available to general public? I doubt it!

I don't expect anything for free because I know someone and I would never ask to use taxpayer services to get something done for my private use.

I have asked the DPW to shore up the riverbank and they didn't.
I have asked for a flood siren and yet again nothing.
I have asked for stop signs to protect children and nothing again.
I have asked for assistance during the flood recovery for my neighborhood and well nothing again.

But I have never asked the city to do me a personal favor and I don't expect them, thats difference between me and the cronies, I don't feel that I deserve to feed or drink from the public trough because I know people or have contributed to them.

Respect from me comes at a tall price and if I don't get respect I don't care because those that don't respect what I'm doing are usually the ones that are abusing and using the system while the rest of us pay for it.

What has Mayor Doherty really done to help the residents of Scranton?

Those all sound like reasonable requests to me Dan. Nothing extraordinary. I guess the mayor doesn't care about the safety of the residents in lower Green Ridge. Since you're not a campaign contributer or a crony and you ask for this stuff, it doesn't get done right? Shame on the whole administration for turning a blind eye on the tax paying residents of Scranton and worrying only about their own self interests.

I hate to tell you this Dan but my father is not living nor it my mother ... you do not have a clue who I am ... you accuse me of thinking that I know you ... you pretend to know who I am and who my father is ... I am not who you think ... I wish I had my father ... I wish I had one more day with him ... I wish I could tell him the good things that have happened to me in my life ... along with the bad things ... I wish that the only place I can have a visit with him were somwhere other than a cemetary ... I wish to god that I could have one more hug ... one more moment ...one more look into his eyes .... I wish that I didn't have to fight for him to have his pain medication as he layed in his hospital bed dying of cancer back in 1994 .... SO YOU SEE DAN ... DON'T ACCUSE ME OF KNOWING YOU AND THEN TURN AROUND AND PRETEND TO KNOW WHO I AM. BECAUSE YOU KNOW NOTHING ....

And Dan I beleive that I told you I didn't care to have your respect ... but that I would still show you mine ... well now ... that's no longer true because ... you are someone who tries to make everyone think you know it all .... and have proven with that last post about me that you know nothing at all ................... I will pray for your sanity to come back .... get a clue ... and know you don't know it all ... nobody does!!

We are now done ... I will not address your posts.

I'm not even going to acknowledge this post with a response you know who you are and I know who I am....Its funny how attitudes change from website to website isn't it. Its amazing how we can paint a picture of who we would like to be on the web behind a username when we know deep down inside we're not really that person.

You seem to want everyone to see you for a compassionate and understanding person so remember next time you and your buddies are slamming me on your site that I had to firemens carry my 80 year old father thru waist deep flood waters while he cried has his house filled with water.

I have no time for people like you that just sit back and watch what has happened and what is happening in this city while they do nothing but complain on the net about others and do NOTHING.....

That goes for your site and DD. I'm expecting this to be cut and pasted to your site so that you can make fun of me and slam me, because thats all you do. In the mean time I'll continue to fight for my family and my father and my neighbors and try to do whats right for them and by them.

Your crying like a little old lady that has been dragged thru the mud on a political website, doesn't feel good does it.

Those in glass houses Lus, those in glass houses........
