No it is not and generally you need to take step back before acting. The most important thing is not letting your own views and personal feelings get in the way of moderating any many people can't do that. The other issue is when heated debates come up you really need to be careful how you compose your messages, other members should not fear posting what they have to say providing it conforms to the rules... Being a moderator take s a lot a fun out of being a poster.

That's why I like coming here, no extra buttons and not a care in the world if someone breaking the rules.

Should be noted many large forums especially ones that require moderators with a lot of knowledge do pay. The "how much" depends. Others provide some perks, free webspace, email etc...

So do we have a moderator yet? I haven't been on lately (busy band/school schedule), thus I have been unable to hear any recent City Data news.

Yac and markablue, our two senior moderators, have been covering our forum in the interim until a new selection is made. I believe Tone509 is officially our "interim moderator," but I haven't seen head nor tail of him/her as of yet. It would be nice if he/she would just poke his/her head on into this thread to say hello!

Thanks ScranBarre. It don't know that I have seen to much of Tone509 ever. It would be nice to get to know the user.

No. He's gone. They don't let you write "Not a Member" as your custom user title. Moderation must be becoming more stringent on here. Hu Flung Pu met the ax, followed swiftly by FightinPhils, and now tremontpa is gone as well. I could be next! Please no! AHHHHH!!! I'll do ANYTHING (and I mean anything!!!)

They let me put it in for my custom title. Should I change it? (I'm still here)
