My Favorite...
I skied most of the major ski areas in the Poconos and my favorite is Elk Mountain. This place seems to have the best layout of trails and offers 1,000 vertical feet. Elk Mountain Ski Resort - Pennsylvania's Best! Sno Mountain (Montage) was my least favorite with a "lodge" that was more like a high school gymnasium. Camelback was always icy and had a lot of young dangerous skiers from Jersey. I was run over by out-of-control skiers, and as a chaperone, had to take a skier to a local hospital because of the same type of situation. Big Boulder is good for beginners. Not much length to the trails.

Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in the Poconos, Weekend Getaway, Vacation Destination, Golf Resorts, Weddings along the Delaware River, Meetings and Team Building.
Shawnee has a great skiing mountain. There is also townhomes/condos that can be rented. The lodge is a place to stay also and in the lodge is various restaurants.
That area is just over the New Jersey border. It would be an all around fun place to rent at. The skiing area is for various types of skill.........
