I agree Philly is easier to get to then Newark, just hop on 476. It is also closer then newark.
Yes, I think everyones right..........Philly would be ok from Lehighton.
Straight route..........
Ah, its the Jersey in me talkin' when I speak of Newark. That was our main airport for a long, long time. Even so I didn't find the route all that bad whilst living in PA either.....very straight down 78.
But for the location of Lehighton being by the turnpike........best to check Philly as you all have said.

Thanks everyone.. all your input really helped.

I'm from LI.. I'mused to JFK or LaGuardia (I prefer JFK over LaGuardia) and have used Newark once or twice..but that's a litlte trip from LI.

Anyway.. the local airports like Lehigh Valley or Allentown would be fine..but all the flights I found coming from my mom's hoem area required so many plane changes adn took so long..

It seems that Philadelphia is the best choice. Knowing how New Jersey traffic can be around Newark.. that extra 20 minutes will convert to an extra hour.. LOL.. So it seems that Philly wins out! And if she fies into that airport (or I out) it goes the usual route through Salt Lake or Minneopolis depending on the airline.

You haev all been very helpful.. thanks again
