High Hat, I just remembered 1 Halloween costume my mom made for me.

My dad got a bunch of "gift" boxes from the liquor store (the kind that bottles of scotch & such come in), a box to fit over my head & a box that fit from my armpits to my crotch.

She cut the flaps off all of them & then cut the liquor boxes to fit...2 for upper arms, 2 for elbow to wrist, 2 for crotch to knee & 2 for knee to ankle.

She glued aluminum foil over all the boxes, punched holes in them & strung together with silver pipecleaners. Then a hole for my face in the "head" box & pipe cleaners for 2 antennae. I believe she made a pipecleaner "necklace" to hang the body & arm boxes from.

I think I wore black shirt & pants underneath and....TA-DA.....instant robot!!

I am not that familiar with the area (I am still learning) but I have always done well for costumes at area thrift stores. I was in a few recently close to where I live now (suburban Philly) and the stuff they have is amazing. If you come up with any kind of idea of what you'd want to be, I am sure you can find it in Goodwill or at Salvation Army. One year we picked out a bunch of stuff and my middle son was Austin Powers. He looked incredible.

Now for the silly question..............do any of the towns orchestrate a Halloween Parade. The ol hometown has one that is incredible, second best to the Greenwich Village Parade, but a great time and a lot of fun for all different age groups.
