Found some morning glory taking in the 5:30 P.M. light!
I'll be watching this scene, which has potential. I'll call it
"Mauve and Leaf."
Main Street was busy for a while.
Inflatable Halloween at Cole's Hardware!
Tonight I saw the Capitol Marquee, full of light, for the first time
in over a decade! Yes, the future looks bright for Bloomsburg!
AND warmer temps brought activity back to the fountain
at Market Square!

Oh your giving me memories here. Our daughter stayed in a beautiful, older building right in town while attending Bloomsburg. ( later she was able to get up a bit closer to the class buildings)
She was a doorway, alongside the Pizza place ( not sure if it is that now).....Would be on the right heading towards the School. We visited a lot......I fell in love with the town even before she enrolled........a great walking town. ( Although, she would say those hills were too much to handle heading to class)

Great pic's, Ken!! Wish I had time to get back into photography. Was heavily involved in it starting in the early 80's while in the Navy. I still have all my 35mm equipment stored in my Tamrac bag in the shed. Need to break them out someday and dust them off. At one time I worked in a photography store on 20th Street and 5 Ave. in Manhattan from '89 - '90. After the store closed I went to school for computers and that put an end to my shooting days. After looking at your pic's....maybe I will get back into it. I would like to get a Nikon digital. I have an HP digital that I bought for $299 like 3 or 4 years ago. Keep the pic's coming!!

Campus Knoll
Bloomsburg is a great walking town! It is one mile from the fountain at Market & Main Streets to the Susquehanna River. The town is relatively flat. The fairgrounds and surrounding neighborhood are at river level. Most of the town rises and there is a plateau far above floodstage. Then there is the B.U. Campus set on a hill. There lies the challenge!
As I mentioned before, I lived in a neighboring town. Not until I moved here did I really begin to appreciate everything! I walk every day. Summering, You may have missed a wonderful gem. Just one block off Main Street to the north, away from the direction of the river, sitting on a ridge, is the Old Rosemont Cemetery. I walk to this ridge every time it snows. I have some great pictures......

Do you have photos from my favorite city?

The photos are great. I can't wait for some trick-or-treating ones.
Since Halloween is on a Friday, I bet all of the towns will be doing it then. You should try to come up here & get some of the "haunted" houses around me.

I do....in boxes somewhere in my shed or the spare bedroom somewhere. I also have some special effect color slides that I took of the Empire State Building lobby. People can't believe I did it by hand...no filter holders or anything of that nature. I'll have to figure out how to scan them with my scanner that has a slide holder. Some would look really nice framed. My work schedule doesn't help either when trying to get something like this done. Darn work!! Always gettin' in the way!! HA-HA!!
