If anyone is interested, a friend of mine and I will be putting on a workshop about saving seeds from your garden and fermenting your own foods. Fermentation is an ancient way to preserve, but there are also numerous health benefits to consuming fermented foods. The workshop is from 1-4 on Saturday at my friend's organic farm in Damascus.
After the workshop, at 4pm, there will be a plant identification specialist on hand to lead a walk through the forest, showing us what is going on now in the woods, what plants are edible, dangerous, etc. Send me a msg to reserve your spot and I'll give you directions.

Here is another attraction in addition to Robas Farm.

Also, if you get a chance pick up the Connections Magazine - it is a great source of information, almost as good as Summering!!!!
