Thought I'd start (hopefully) fun, uplifting thread. What are your favorite things about summer? I'll start off

Thunderstorms that whip out of nowhere, bring cool breezes and then are gone.

The taste of a sun warmed, ripe homegrown tomato

Watching a sunset while walking with a friend along the beach

The feel of warm earth in my hands as I work in the garden

Watching a dragonfly try to skim on the shiny surface of a car he's mistaken for water

Ok guys.... your turn.... take it from here....

AIR CONDITIONING!!!!

round these parts summer is like winter. you mutter about how it sucks and shuffle hunched over to the next conditioned space with the wind stinging your skin....

some of my favorite things about PA summers were the bazaars, the smell of the forests, sitting next to a stream or lake in the shade and car shows on public square in wilkes-barre.

I hate to say this but in Florida the only good thing about Summer is that the tourists are gone and that EVENTUALLY it will come to an end! And of course without A/C noone could tolerate living here.

Only if the women should be in a bikini! If you can't tell what color the bottoms are, then you shouldn't be wearing a bikini!

I'm still waiting for summer....It just feels like the April showers haven't stopped...I think Scranton has had maybe 7 days without rain in the last 30+.

The smell of rain in the air and the smell of the earth right after the rain...........and don't forget construction workers. not that they tie up roads but that they give us something to look at while we sit. Right ladies!

I think the quality of construction workers have dwindled in the past few years. Used to be some really hot guys, now it's a lot of potbellied old guys. ..........Hmm, wonder if they are the same guys after a few years of beer?

My favorite thing is going to NEPA, turning off the phone, no computers, no timeframe and hanging out with my dh and boys at the house.
We went to camelbeach last thursday and I never laughed so much. My monkeys were trying their best to get me soaked in the lazy river. It was a wonderful day.
