Movies
Now everyone likes movies. And we all have our personal tastes. Hollywood does their best to get ALL of us to go to the theatre!
Over the past four years I visited theatres to see: Fahrenheit 911, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Brokeback Mountain, Hannibal Rising, No Country for Old Men, Sweeney Todd, Dark Knight and Burn After Reading. I like many of the mainstream flicks, but usually wait until they are out on DVD, which doesn't seem to take very long anymore. I Plan to see "Religulous" soon, in spite of poor reviews. Anyone see it?
Any favorites worth mentioning? There are soo many movies!!

Good Will Hunting, Finding Forester, Das Boot, Star Trek motion pictures, The Black Hole, JFK....I have been a movie buff forever....When I was a kid my folks used to own one of the only video stores in the area down in Greenridge so we have always been a movie family.
The town I grew up in at the shore was where they filmed the Amityville Horror and large parts of Creepshow the movie...We used to sit and watch the filming and the crews for hours as kids.
I saw Star Wars in the Roosevelt theater in Greenridge and Jaws in the theater in Toms River NJ....I didn't go in the water for a year after that.
Great thread.....Come on now lets here about some of those obsecure movies out there.

Slightly off track, but since Halloween is one of my favorite time for movies....
The drive-in in point twp ( is it still called The Point) between Northumberland & Danville is running a horror movie special. I saw they will have one or two kids movies & then the real chillers.
It's on Friday the 17th. I wonder if they're all at one since there's 3 screens.
It sounded worth seeing if you're in the area.
It would be better if they had people dressed up to scare while watching the movies.

I cant sit through an entire movie anymore, no patience

We used to drive to the theater at Rockaway Mall to see the Rocky Horror show when we were in high school.

I really liked Eagle Eye. It started slow, but then kept you on the edge of your seat. Different and intresting.
I never got to the Rocky Horror Show ( its past my bedtime.......LOL)

Triangle of horror!
When I last went to the Point, all three movies ran simultaneously. Their soundtracks ran on three different A.M. frequencies.
American Beauty
Fried Green Tomatoes
The Meaning of Life
Memento
Pulp Fiction
Requiem for a Dream
Reservoir Dogs
The Shining
Sin City
I can watch these many times over!
