Both apartment complexes are nice. Out of the two, I'd rather live in East Mountain apartments. Just because they look a little nicer, and they have a swimming pool. Both are very close to The Wyoming Valley Mall, the arena, restaraunts, hotels, and all of the many shopping center's up in that area. Wilkeswood is across the street from the Wyoming Valley Mall. East Mountain Inn is across the street from Geisinger Hospital, which is one of the region's largest hospitals. Wilkeswood has a high Indian population (not native American Indian. Indian as in from India). I guess it depends on your personal taste, and what you'd rather be closer too. I'm not sure about price ranges, but I'm willing to bet somewhere between $700-$1200 a month. East mountian being slightly more expensive then Wilkeswood (again, I'm totally guessing here). The two complexes are only about a half mile apart. I'd try to come here and do a walk through of both of them. Three other complexes you might want to check into are Gateway apartments (Edwardsville), Green Acres (Kingston), and Cedar Village apartments (Wilkes-barre Twp.) These are all similar to Wilkeswood and East Mountain apts. and also right on the outskirts of Wilkes-Barre. Good Luck

I'm partial to Green Acres in Kingston myself. You'd be directly across the street from the paved levee-top trail, which offers great opportunities for biking, blading, running, etc. along the river between Wyoming and Wilkes-Barre. From there it would be an easy walk to Downtown Wilkes-Barre or Kirby Park. Kingston is a very underrated local community, in my humble opinion.
