I've heard many people say that. That they have traveled to most of the US states and they find PA to be one of the most beautiful.
Thank you for confirming that thought.......I agree...

I left 3 years ago and am counting down the days until July so I can move back.

Speak for yourself.

I might not like the way Scranton is right now, but I do love it here in NEPA......I have lived in a few countries and spent years traveling among the states to get "away" from here only to find out that this is one of the few areas where you can have days like this, in places like this.........

This was last night on the Susquehanna river.......

It was taken below Tuchannock and above Falls on the Susquehanna river in Wyoming county. I could give you the Lat. and Lon. coordinates but then I would have to kill you...

Sure the nights are chilly but we have the gear....We're good to -15 below with sleeping bags and the tent. We heard coyotes howling all night and there was a 1/4" of frost on everything at 6am on monday, but it was beautiful out there and as long as the weather is good we will be out there.

This is 25 miles from Scranton and worlds apart at the same time, yet we never see anyone out there but maybe a few people here and there. I have been in what would be considered remote areas in Washington and Utah and I have seen more people out there then I have on the river in Wyoming and Bradford counties.

This is Sunday nights sunset..........

I honestly cannot imagine not being able to do this stuff around here..Yes I did leave for years and I did travel and move around, but it taught me that I live in a great place. You have to want to do this stuff and you have to get up and get out there and see it. Sure it takes gear to do it but in my mind its money well spent if you can have days like this.
