Wow, what a nice event. There were so many people all different age groups. Some of the houses, were dressed to the max! The store owners are very friendly and the Wallenpaupack High School band - all dressed in costumes were magnificient. The weather was perfect for Halloween and it was really nice.

Anyone else out there?

Hat-

I took the kids into Milford and I was a bit disappointed. There were A LOT of houses that didn't give out candy. I guess the people there got tired of being innundated with Trick-or-Treaters every year. It was still mobbed with people and it seemed like the darker out it got, the more people there were.

My kids are young enough that it doesn't matter how much they get, as long as they get something.

At least the next 2 years Halloween will fall on the weekend. We can head over to NJ for the day.

You can always head up to my neighborhood. We're an hour's drive from you but have SPARSE trick-or-treater attendance as many of my neighbors are either elderly or are middle-aged childless professional couples.

Hi FF,
Hubby does not like Milford and we had heard about Hawley at the last minute. Wow, we were so glad we went. I would highly recommend that you try it next year because it is for all ages! People are so nice, storeowners and some people spend months decorating their houses like I have never seen before. I understand many people in the village were keeping their houses dark. I know the churches in Milford have activities for the kids, but I was so glad I went. The band was awesome!! Next year FF, we will see ya in Hawley.
