LOL!! You know when you're "used to" 80's & 90's for 90% of the time, you "feel" the lower temps more... I'm DEFINITELY a heat-lover!! I'd rather be sweaty & stinky than freezing!!
I told ya Dan, c'mon down!! (though today a cold beer doesn't sound too appealing... )

These really work!!
amazing simple home remedies
1. Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold the vegetables while you chop.
2. Avoid arguments with the females about lifting the toilet seat by using the sink.
3. For high blood pressure sufferers ~ simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure on your veins. Remember to use a timer.
4. A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.
5. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives. Then you'll be afraid to cough.
6. You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
7. If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
Tried & true!!

LOL!! A place I used to work when I was in my 20's had a manager that was an a-hole. His employees made him a b'day cake with chocolate icing laced with Ex-Lax!!! He thoroughly enjoyed the cake the first 4 hours or so....

I hadn't planned on announcing this yet, but since the thread about pet sitters was dug up again, I wanted to share my big news here (for those who won't read the 'pet sitters' thread, and also since it does probably qualify as 'off-topic')...so c&p'ing my post from there:
"Thank you Sausages. Actually...I was waiting for the right time to announce this, but since this thread has been dug up again.... I wanted to announce here to my CD friends that I have opened my own pet sitting business! It is called NEPA Pet Nanny and I will be servicing the Back Mountain and surrounding areas. I hope I'm okay in posting this, as I'm more excited to share it with my friends here than posting it for advertising purposes (plus I think I'm the only poster here from the Back Mountain?). Anyhow, if you'd like to see what I've been up to, please feel free to check out my website: www.NEPAPetNanny.com
It's funny....a couple months ago (or whenever it was that I started this thread) I posted "Hmm, this might be a good idea for a business!" and the wheels started turning at that point. I used to do it in NJ here and there, and have grown up taking care of pets of all types and sizes, with varieties of different temperments, health issues, etc. I'm really excited to offer this service to my area and to start meeting the four-legged residents of NEPA! "

I really think this is the greatest service for all the pet lovers ..........
Our area has ThePoconoPetNanny and she does a great job. At first the family thought oh my I am giving my keys to a stranger..........but.........I found her to be a very responsible and reliable person. So detailed and so through. ( more then one imagines)
She is doing a great job with the feral cats that remain at my home area in NEPA.
I can hardly believe how much the little buggers are eating. I left a ton of food, huge bags........and now I will be sending up more for the remaining months.
I won't have to worry that they will get thin. In fact I might come home to three little piggies instead.
Our youngest daughter being overly worried about the weather also showed up there with an additional house ( for inside the shed area) and additional means of warmth.
I find the service very reasonable for the amount of comfort it brings to me..........
I don't know how she does it with the 7AM to 7PM hours, 365 days a year, and the Holidays being the most important times of service.
So good luck to Sausages and Enya as your area pet sitters.....
All the pets of the areas need good care.........looks like its very well covered.
