Anyway, here's a picture of one of my fat little squirrels. It's not the clearest - was taken through the glass window while I was home sick. Do you think they know something about this winter we don't?
I've seen bigger ones, but that one was just sitting on the edge of the deck railing for the longest time, so I figured he wanted his portrait taken! I call them my little sumo squirrels! They love the seeds that my parrot doesnt like. I empty his dish out the front window onto the lawn and they pick through it. Sometimes my parrot is nice enough to share a few of his peanuts too. The squirrels love that! Keeps the cats (indoors only) entertained for hours too. I call it 'kitty tv'.
Good Morning! So, what's on tap for everyone this fine Saturday?
More home improvement work here...we completely gutted our basement (half wanted to, half because of mold) and, for the past 5 months, have been doing all the remodeling work. Anyhoo...
Today we're running electrical lines and putting in outlets...what joy!! This was such a huge undertaking, and finally we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!! After this it's insulation, then drywall!! Yippee! I'll have a great new living area by January!!
So that along with, of course, watching football all day, is the plan in this house!!
Make the most of your day!
Cathyde, that sounds like an exciting weekend you have planned! Sometimes I'm really glad my house is on a slab. I had enough trouble with it a few years ago when I pipe burst. Had to gut my bathroom to get rid of the mold. Nasty stuff. Good luck with your project. May all the parts needed be on hand and everything take less time than you budgeted...
I was going to do leaves, but decided to go pick up my Mom and visit the new Christmas Tree Shop that opened here on the island. Usually visiting a Christmas Tree Shop involves a trip to Jersey or Connecticut for me! If the b/f has off on Tuesday, may consider a run out to Hamburg, PA to go shopping at the Cabellas there. Loved the one in East Hartford!
For Mrs. Summering, coartist, Enya, Daniel, myself & all those "old" CD folks out there...
A mature (over 40) lady gets pulled over for speeding...
Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?
Officer: Ma'am, you were speeding.
Older Woman: Oh, I see.
Officer: Can I see your license please?
Older Woman: I'd give it to you but I don't have one.
Officer: Don't have one?
Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.
Officer: I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.
Older Woman: I can't do that.
Officer: Why not?
Older Woman: I stole this car.
Officer: Stole it?
Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.
Officer: You what?
Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see.
The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.
Officer 2: Ma'am, could you step out of your vehicle please! The woman steps out of her vehicle.
Older woman: Is there a problem sir?
Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.
Older Woman: Murdered the owner?
Officer 2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please.
The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.
Officer 2: Is this your car, ma'am?
Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers.
The officer is quite stunned.
Officer 2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driver's license.
The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer.
The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.
Officer 2: Thank you ma'am, one of my officers told me you didn't have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.
Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too.

Oh I see the bunch of ya' have been having a grand ole' time........
Look at Coartists Police car, quite nice.
JG ........Right ON.......Smart one she was.
Summering was out and about acting like Santa today. All those odds and ends that add up to a small fortune!
And I bought the last lite tree with little folks, pups, sleds, going around it. Only to find.........it has some issue ( it kinda looked like someone had returned it due to the packaging).........Anyhow, I know that most of the stores had none, or just the display......so not going to be fun turning it in.
I wanted it for my scene, which this year I am putting on the 4 levels of the corner hutch.......I saw this in the newest Country magazine and just loved how it looked. I don't have country furniture but I like the cozy ideas sometimes.
