I'm glad I'm not the only one!!

I started smoking when I was 12 y/o on the streets of NYC (do the math....that's a L-O-O-O-O-N-G time ago!! ) Back then, you HAD to in order to "fit in" (it was street gangs back then too...) &, except for an 11 year period where I quit for my singing voice, I still smoke.

It's an addiction....

I picked up the habit when I was about 13, thought it was cool and all that. By 15 I wised up and stopped. Haven't had one since. Luckily I never had the addiction. My second ex husband was addicted really bad. He tried quitting a lot, but never was able to kick it.

Default Luck 'O' The Irish...

An attractive blonde from Cork, Ireland arrived at a casino.

She seemed a little intoxicated and bet twenty-thousand Euros on a single roll of the dice.

She said, 'I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude'. With that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the dice and with an Irish brogue yelled, 'Come on, baby, Mama needs new clothes!'

As the dice came to a stop, she jumped up and down and squealed.....'YES! YES! I WON, I WON!'

She hugged each of the dealers and then picked up her winnings and her clothes and quickly departed.

The dealers stared at each other dumbfounded.

Finally, one of them asked, 'What did she roll?'

The others answered, 'I don't know - I thought you were watching.'

MORAL OF THE STORY -
Not all Irish are drunks,
Not all blondes are dumb,
But all men..are men....

Ok I have to thank the Pet Nanny in our Monroe area for doing such a great job with my feral cats back home.
I completely trusted her with this job which was no easy task considering I live up on a snow filled mountain.
She trudged up the mountain in all types of weather. She bought more food bags for the hungry little guys......
She did a complete job in caring for the cats, even as they hid in their own special places.....
So I have to reccomend her to anyone in the Monroe area......( maybe part of Carbon, not sure)......
Well organized, everything goes into the computer. I am hiring her again for mid week when we go to the NJ shore......
Very satisfied with this provider.......Who kept contact with me at all times..........
Anyhow.....I had to give her a star for a job well done.....

Default Happy Saturday!!

Hope y'all have a great weekend!!

We're heading to the County Fairgrounds today...their annual Plant show with LOTS 'o' plant vendors!!! (Just what we need...more plants!!)

I have 1 vendor bringing up 2 plants for me...a "Pua Kenikeni" & a "Princess Of The Night". Both are highly fragrant Hawaiian plants that'll do well in the jungle... We'll see what other beauties we can find as well...

I musta REALLY done a job on my back this time!! It usually goes out twice a year & gets better in 3 days. It's been 5 days & I'm STILL in a lotta pain & hobbling around like a grandpa!!!

DON'T GET OLD!!!!

Plant show sounds like fun (and a place I could get into trouble!). Have fun!

Sorry to hear about your back. Hope it gets better soon.

Oh I can not wait to go home and buy flowers.....and plants........but my green thumb in PA is not all that good.....I go away and everything is dead when I return........done!
I stand there and just get shocked.......How dead something can get in a week.
I must say that geraniums are the best, our way! They keep budding until fall.......They bloom and bloom. I can actually go away and have them still be there. Yahoo to them.......
Impatience come in second to that.......some vines and the spike greens and grasses.........
But, other things........just visit a short while and gone.
Probably me.......and Oh well.........I'll take them for a short while then. I love spring and flowers too much not to try, try, again.

OMG!!! 3 cart-fulls of plants later.... I think I spent around $3-400.00 & I'm going back tomorrow for a weeping bamboo!! (we had no more room in the car & it stands 7' high!!)

They had a HUGE variety of tropical flowers, palms & bromeliads at excellent prices....JG was in Heaven!!

I got a "Lady Of The Night" plant as well as the "Princess Of The Night" & it's in bloom...very strong fragrance of gardenia & cinnamon wafting on the breeze!! We have all the windows & doors open (the inside of the house is 82 from the south winds today!!) & the smell is coming inside....aaahhhh!!!

I was up on the ladder trimming branches when we got home. (I can't sit still for long...) & my back is feeling a little bit better with all the walking & trimming today. Seemed to hurt more when I "babied" it & sat around all day...

Go figure....
