Yes, well when you know that in DE they pay practically nothing.........then it is a lot.
JG...Yes they do have 4 payments if one wants. I prefer to just pay it all at once.
Discounted if its paid in October vs November by December a large fee is attached.
The town tax is paid in the spring.....that is usually not all that bad.
Our school taxes are high. They were suppose to come down when we got casinos, but.....
nothing happening so far. Not thinking it ever will.........

This is exactly what I'm referring to when I correct people who say that Scranton's taxes are so outrageous......I only pay around $1,200 a year total for my property taxes. I couldn't imagine paying $4,000 or $5,000 a year in taxes.

I'm sure Dan pays less annually for his TWO houses than my parents pay for our ONE home. You pay Less than 1/3 of what my parents pay. This is why I never understand the "Scranton has outrageous property taxes" arguments at the council podium. Outrageous as compared to what? Guam?

Yes, we got about a $250 break this year. Our taxes are considerably low as it is so it was a sweet bonus

LOL! I think if most people had the choice between Scranton and Hoboken, they'd be willing to pay more for the latter.

taxes never go down, they either tax something else or just give you less services. do they ever lower your taxes when they lay off staff or cut stuff?
