My parents have a house in Rockledge. It is a small community on Lake Wallenpaupack. Houses start, I'd guess in the low 200s, and go up to multi-millions for the lakefront properties. It is a relatively small community, not sure exactly how many homes. A couple of hundred I would guess all told. Lots of people have had homes there forever, and just pass them through their families. My parents bought their house from a friend, it is unusual to have more than one or two houses in the development for sale at any given time. Most of the houses are in that rustic contemporary vein that you see all over the poconos.

There are a couple of tennis courts and a beach area. There are also dock slips, deeded to the properties. Dues vary depending on whether you have a slip or not, but I think my parents dues are about $500 with a slip. That includes road maintenance. There is no security patrol. Crime, I've never heard of in there. It is a nice location on the lake, a quiet cove with nice views, and about 5 minutes from Hawley.

Yalick Farms in the Back Mountain at full build-out will come close to offering the same amenities as The Hideout. It will have a few miles of trails/paths, a swimming pool, community center, etc. The only drawback is that these are not single-family homes; they are townhouses and condominiums.
