Smile Theater in Miners Mills

Hi everyone, Somebodytold me that there is an old theater that was used for silence films in Miners Mills, does anyone know were it is? You can apparently see the ticket both and the doors made of wood, its also near a house.

I wonder if it is near Penn-Lee Footwear. When I was younger my mom used to take me there to get all of my shoes growing up, and I remember there was a building nearby that resembled an old theater.

I believe the building your talking about is accross the street from St. Francis church. which is on the lower end of E. Thomas St. (off N. Washington St.) I went to elementary school on St. Clair St in the early 70's and it was closed up then, but I think you can still see the old front that you knew it was a theatre at one time.

If you throw that into Google, second item on the list is Section-Articles. Click on that, eighth photo on that list is Theater,Miners Mills.

Is that the one?

That is so cool. What is that building now? Looks like they covered up the entrance. Wonder what the inside looks like now? What a piece of history, hopefully it will be preserved. most kids today under the age of 15 don't even know what a silent film was....
